Deaton Dental Associates
Deaton Dental Associates traces its beginnings to 1972, when Dr. Riley founded Dental Associates of Summerville.
He chose a former private home as the practice location, thoughtfully renovating it into a warm and welcoming dental office. As the community grew, so did the practice, with an additional wing added to better serve generations of patients who came to rely on its care.
In the 1970s, Dr. Bob Randall joined the practice and became a steady and trusted presence for nearly 50 years. His decades of service helped shape the office into a true dental home built on consistency, long-term relationships, and genuine care for the Summerville community.
In 2017, Dr. Rhett Deaton joined Dr. Randall, embracing the same patient-centered philosophy that had defined the practice for decades. Today, that dedication continues under the name Deaton Dental Associates, honoring the past while providing modern, preventive-focused care rooted in communication, education, and respect.
Flowertown Dentistry
Flowertown Dentistry was started in the 1980s by Dr. Gloria Grant. The original location was on North Gum Street across from the Summerville Post Office. From the beginning, the focus was on creating a welcoming environment where patients felt comfortable and supported.
In 2001, Dr. Cindy Hylton joined the practice, bringing fresh leadership while honoring its patient-first foundation. Under her guidance, the practice was renamed Flowertown Dentistry, reflecting both its Summerville roots and its growing role in the community.
In 2007, Flowertown Dentistry moved to its current location on North Cedar Street. The building was originally constructed by Dr. Wyly as part of a shared medical space. Dr. Hylton became the first dentist to practice in the building, thoughtfully renovating it to support modern dentistry while preserving its purpose as a place of healing.
Today, Flowertown Dentistry continues this tradition under the care of Dr. Tiffany Deaton, who carries forward the practice’s long-standing commitment to gentle dentistry, clear communication, and patient trust.
