Melissa is an Administrative Assistant and Insurance Coordinator with our practice. She has been part of our practice since 2002. Melissa enjoys our small family practice setting where we get to know our patients.
Melissa and her husband Ron live in St. George. They have a grown daughter, Jessica. When not working she enjoys reading, the wonderful Lowcountry weather, going to the mountains, College football and spending time with her family.
A Summerville native, Emily graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Trident Technical College in 2017 and joined Deaton Dental Associates in 2023. Emily enjoys getting to know her patients and making sure they feel comfortable while they're in the dental chair.
When she's not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and her two boys, Hayes and Levi. She also loves football (go Falcons!), reading, anything Disney, and traveling.
Born and raised in Summerville, Amber graduated cum laude from Trident Technical College's Dental Hygiene program in 2020. Amber joined the team at Dental Associates of Summerville shortly after. She enjoys educating patients on dental care and their oral health. She loves helping people achieve their dream smiles, and building strong relationships with her patients.
Now living in Goose Creek with her husband, Willie and their two dogs Max and Bailey, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she loves boating, hiking, playing the piano, and reading.
Karen graduated from Trident Technical College Dental Hygiene program in 1998. She joined the team at Dental Associates of Summerville in July 2011. Karen enjoys the friendly and welcoming atmosphere the office offers to its patients and staff. She attends continuing education classes, which keeps her up to date with the latest changes in dentistry.
Karen is married with two grown children. She was raised in Summerville and when not working she enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband and friends.
Kayla graduated from Trident Technical College as a Certified Expanded Duty Dental Assistant in 2016. She joined our team at Deaton Dental directly after. Kayla became interested in the dental field in her late teens when she noticed how good dental care can boost a person's self esteem. She now loves assisting with patients to help them achieve the smile they desire.
Kayla lives with her husband, Shane, in Moncks Corner, accompanied by their two dogs Zoey and Oakley. In her spare time she enjoys boating, reading, and spending time outdoors with her friends and family.
Tracy is an administrative assistant with our office. She has been in the dental field for over 19 years and joined Dental Associates of Summerville in January 2016. Tracy enjoys getting to know our patients and the family atmosphere that our office provides.
Tracy is married to Schott and they have two sons, Josh and Chase. They enjoy boating, camping and going to Nascar races. She is a huge Green Bay Packers fan and also cheers on the Carolina Gamecocks. Tracy also enjoys being a mentor with the Cane Bay High School Robotics team.
Tanya graduated as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in 2013 and worked at a dental office in Florida until she moved to South Carolina to start her hobby, farming. She enjoys connecting with patients and making them feel as comfortable as possible during their dental treatments. In her off time, she enjoys tending to the farm, spending time with her fiancé and riding their motorcycle.
